To create the design of this linocut, I drew my inspiration from Japanese prints from the Edo period (1603-1868). Ukiyo-e, meaning “image of the floating world”, represents in particular the small pleasures of life.
Handmade linocut print
Also available on cream-coloured Japanese Washi Awaji Tsunagami paper
SIZE: approximately 30 x 40 cm
PAPER: natural-coloured Nepalese paper Lokta 80 g/m² with deckled edges
Nepalese paper Lokta made entirely by hand in Nepal from the bark of a high-altitude shrub. This product is entirely handcrafted, there are therefore differences from one bath to another. Plant fibers are visible on the surface of the paper. The paper is handmade, eco-friendly, and ethically sourced.
Frame or mat not included
Due to the artisanal process and the paper used, each print is unique. Slight imperfections may occur (small ink stains or small unprinted areas for example)
